Fear Fellow Rotarians, At the outset, I wish all the fellow Rotarians of RI District 3292 a very happy Rotary year 2011-12. We have successfully completed first three years of RI District 3292 and the strong foundation of the new Rotary District in Nepal laid by the exemplary leadership skills demonstrated by the past District Governors, namely Dr. Tika Man Vaidya, Rtn. Ratna Man Sakya and Rtn. Tirtha Man Sakya are highly appreciable. Now the time has come for the Rotarians of Nepal to plan and carry out substantial projects to address larger national issues, be it in Literacy, Health and Sanitation or the acute problem of "uterine prolapse" that the Nepalese women in villages are suffering. While giving continuity to the existing projects, let us visualize projects and mobilize resources, local as well as international, to materialize the vision into action to help uplift people from mass scale deprivation and scarcity around the country. A long term Strategic plan for RI District 3292 has been designed, keeping in mind the RI thrust areas and TRF Future Vision focus areas, for the Rotarians of Nepal to actively review, endorse and pursue to achieve the destined goals. By working collectively, with concerted efforts at the District and Club levels, we will achieve the set goals within the stipulated time. Rotary is a big force in successfully addressing global issues like Polio eradication, and collectively we can change the fate of the Nepalese suffering from illhealth, illiteracy and unemployment. In Rotary we have some of the best brains and mind to serve for the greater good of our nation. Let us resolve, and take the first step now. I wish the team led by DG Basu Dev Golyan in 2011-12 every success in their endeavor towards serving the needy and in achieving their goals.
