Dear Rotarians of Nepal We have completed 3 years of our own District and are stepping on the 4th year. Great many things been achieved and have to achieve more. We have to prove, we are capable to run our own District for which we have struggle for more than a decade unitedly to obtain it. We have shown our integrity, solidarity and understanding. The Directors of Rotary and even the RI President after their visits in Nepal, have been quite influenced with the activities we are doing and with the commitments we do have and thus left their remarks that Nepal could be a model Rotary District. IPDG Tirtha Man Sakya has therefore focused his attention as a District Governor towards this. I am confident our DG Basu Golyan also will continue to achieve this goal and Of course my focus also will be the same. It is not an easy job as it requires collective efforts from all the Rotarians. I am pretty sure we all the Rotarians will once again show the integrity, solidarity and understanding. We have ably demonstrated our strength though over a century of grass roots service. Every hour of every day we are working to make the world better through thousands of humanitarian project from ey camps to health-care clinics, Housing for the elderly or orphanages. Another example is our Polio Plus program, which, in concert with other international agencies has already protected more that billion children from poliomyelitis. Today we are just inches far to abolish this dreadful disease from the world. We are all privileged that we shall be working under direct leadership and guidance of an extra ordinary leader Kalyan Bannerjee. He is a dreamer and he has urged the International Community to recognize the enormous power which every individual is endowed with. He has also shown the way to accomplish it through his theme "Reach within to embrace Humanity" for the Rotary year 2011-12. By doing so, he has given the world a solution of bringing about international peace and resolve among Rotarians to mobilize internal strength to serve humanity. Above all it introduces the m,ykstic magaic of rich Indian culture to the world of Rotary Remember, we can reach our goals only when we enjoy the passage to our goals.
