My fellow Rotarians, A new Rotary year is set to begin and with it several programmes aimed at better serving the community. In addition, a fresh slate of leaders will take over at the club, district and international level. Congratulations to all Rotarians for successful completion of three years of service to mankind, through our own RI District 3292. Our world leader Kalyan Banerjee has asked us to "Reach within to embrace humanity". He is asking us to look within ourselves to understand that all of mankind has the same dreams and constrains. We are all committed to serve mankind. But first, we got to understand that what we wish for ourselves is what others want for themselves as well. This way we can serve mankind better. President Kalyan Banerjee has placed emphasis in three areas: Family, Continuity and Change. The family is where everything begins; when we begin there, we can carry this forward to serve the needy in community. We got to continue what we have done best. We must also have courage to change where it is needed. "We need to change from our pallor of grey and go green". Change or motion is the fundamental function of the wheel, Rotary's symbol. The Rotaractors of today are the leaders and also Rotarians of tomorrow, who will take Rotary to greater heights. It is a challenge for Rotarians to connect to the new generation. Clubs are, therefore, encouraged to associate the youth - Rotaractors and Interactors -in their programmes. Also, sponsoring of RCCs in areas where we do not yet have Rotary network, gives us the advantage of working this with the community there and scope for establishment of Rotary Clubs in new areas. The District goals, that we have set, are along the lines that our President has indicated to us. We are confident that with the support of all Rotarians, the goals will be realized. I wish to compliment all members of the District Publication Committee and specially the advertisers, who have patronized us by extending their hand of cooperation.
